ML170 Core Competencies for Resource Development
Effective fundraising and resource development is an essential element of healthy community development organizations and not-for-profits engaged in creating and supporting vibrant communities and social change. This course is designed for those who find themselves responsible for identifying and capturing resources to bring to their community development and not-for-profit organizations. An extremely interactive course, ML170 not only reveals key concepts and best practices of effective fundraising and resource development as a strategy for organizational sustainability but also how to develop a “culture of philanthropy” that engages all stakeholders in their role supporting organizational resource development. You will learn the three-stage model of resource development --- preparation and planning, cultivation and asking, and sustaining and thriving that demystifies the process of fundraising.
